Sandbox Tool 1.0 - New Google Adsense Preview
Published by Chris | Filed under Internet, Make Money Blogging, Self SEO | May 21st, 2007
Google Adsense is the major earning source for most webmasters, but if one thing Google has always been disapproves of is that it does not allow webmaster to know what ads being displayed on the websites or forums. Releasing Google Adsense Preview tool solved the problem to some extend but this preview tool was not sufficient for most webmaster as the tool was limited. Thanks to Amit Aggarwal of Labnol, the Adsense Sandbox 1.0 tool was developed.
Google Adsense Sandbox Tool v 1.0 give you two options for Adsense preview
1. Keywords: You just type in the keywords for which you want to preview Google Adsense in the “Type URL or Keywords” box and click the submit button.
2. URL: This is one of the major tool that Adsense Sandbox has. It allows you to preview all the adsense ads coming on a website whose URL is provided by you in the “Type URL or Keywords” box.
One of the main feature that I liked about Adsense sandbox is that it allows you to view all the ads that are being displayed on your website based on the Ad format such as 728 x 90, 250 x 250 etc. So that you can know what are the ads that will be displayed on choosing a particular ads format.
Adsense Sandbox Preview Tool also has is the geo-targeted Adsense preview tool. You can set the country in the Adsense sandbox tool you wish the result should display. You can also set it to “Auto” which I think sets the country automatically according to your IP address.
I think this tool could be a innovative tool in Adsense as it allows webmasters to have a more detailed looks on the ads being served by Google on their blog.
What Is Affiliate Link Cloaking?
Published by Chris | Filed under Self SEO | April 8th, 2007
With all the hype on Affiliate Marketing, many bloggers and website owners are making a decent living selling affiliate products and services. But there are also many people on the Internet robbing site owners of their affiliate sales that are rightfully theirs.
Affiliate link cloaker can help disguise your affiliate links. Why would want to disguise your affiliate links? You ask. As you already read in the first paragraph, the link cloaker protects your sales from thieves. Its also disguises your links from the search engines robots when you website is be optimized.
Now there are lots of software that can cloak you affiliate link for you, but I’m a sucker for freeness and I hope you share the same sentiments.
There is a free way to cloak your affiliate links.
Where it reads http://YourAffiliateLinkHere.com - replace this with your affiliate link. It has it twice in the code, so make sure you replace both of them with your affiliate link.
Then paste this code into one of your already running websites and name the file. Upload the page and that’s it. Your new affiliate link should now look like this.
For example: http://www.MyWebsiteAddress.com/books.html
(books.html would be the name of your file. Book is just an example…you can choose whatever name you like)
That’s it, your very own cheap/free but effective affiliate link cloaker.
