In “Think and Grow Rich?. Napoleon Hill wrote “nothing is impossible to the person who backs DESIRE with enduring FAITH.?. Let’s simplify that by saying “nothing is impossible to the person who establishes a definite goal and truly believes that they can attain that goal.
Once you’ve established your goal, there are two key elements necessary to accomplishing that goal, a definite date and a definite plan. I’ve learned that it’s easier to accomplish things if we break them down into small tasks. You don’t just put the whole steak in your mouth, you cut it up into small bite sized pieces. Not only does it taste better, but it’s also easier for your body to digest. You should break your goals down the same way.

Find Personal Development in Modeling
Published by Chris | Filed under Health, Personal Development, Success | October 28th, 2007
Many people are not aware of this, but one of the most effective concepts in personal development in Modeling. Modeling simply means that you find someone who’s already has the results you want in some particular area, learn what they did to get those result and then try to accomplish the same thing. It’s a lot like following a special work-out routine at the gym to re-create your body into that model body you imagine for yourself.
As example, years ago before I started working out in the gym I met this guys who lost 65 lbs in one year and was able to re-create his body into the model body. I asked him how he did it, and he told me. One of his main ideas was to find out what exactly that helped you to loss weight in the past, and do more of it. Then find out what made you put on weight in the past, and do less of it. As brain-dead simple as this idea sounds, I come to find out that it worked really well, especially when you apply it to the different aspects of your life. For example, I discovered that dairy products helped to increase my muscle mass and prevented me from getting that rip-lean look I wanted. So I found other ways to get the same nutrients I got for dairy products without gaining mass. Simple idea, but very effective.
Also something I’ve found helpful that the reverse concept works well to. If you find someone who isn’t getting the results that you want in a particular area, don’t take their advice. An Over generalization of the situation of course, but I find that more often than not, it’s pretty accurate.
This is a really simple concept, but it’s amazing how you can take the time to apply it to different areas in your life. Is there some area in your life right now where you want to start getting better results? Find one person who has already gotten those results and spend a few minutes asking that person how s/he did it? Then ago ahead…take those same actions, you stand a good chance of getting those results for yourself.
